This handmade macrame piece is constructed around an antique, industrial hoop found in Round Top, Texas. Shopping second-hand and filling your home with antiques is not only how we were raised, but the original sustainable movement and we relate closely to that goal. Utilizing found objects was the inspiration behind this limited series and these industrial metal hoops were the catalyst. Each work in the Round Top series is handmade with recycled cotton rope and adhered to the metal ring. Additional natural elements were used in some variations within this collection, working to focus on found objects yet again.
